Chilly Weekend Ahead

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Get used to the chilly temperatures.

A large low pressure system has allowed cold air to settle into most of the Great Lakes states, and it's not going anywhere.

The high temperature for Chicago is expected to be 48 degrees today, and it doesn't get much more than a few degrees warmer than that through the next several days.

Thankfully, though the remnants of Hurricane Sandy are headed into Canada, and no longer a factor for the Chicago area.

There's a possibility of a few stray showers this weekend, mostly in northwest Indiana on Saturday.
