Opinion: Obamacare Should Win It For Mitt Romney

The Right Politics

As we enter the last four days of the oft-times endless-appearing presidential campaign of 2012, there is one thing that has not changed throughout the entire process. That is the data-driven pollsters’ assertion that more than half of Americans do not want the now-passed Affordable Care Act which President Barack Obama and his Democratic ilk in Congress – along with Supreme Court Justice John Roberts – have put on the nation-at-large.

If every American who feels strongly against the Affordable Care Act – also known as Obamacare – gets to the polls by Tuesday and votes against Obama and his health care policy, Mitt Romney wins the election and starts making his moves to repeal the unwanted law on January 20, 2013. Romney promised he would start working toward the immediate repeal of the law as soon as he gets elected – in fact, he has been quoted as saying that he would begin the process “on the first day” of his presidency.

Furthermore, Americans should be skeptical of the law that was basically shoved down our throats when most of us didn’t want it. From the get-go, it was more-than-curious that Obama would spend all of his first two years in office on the single-issue, and then have it set up to not begin during his term in office. The obvious assumption is that if it is the atrocity many believe it is. After all, Obama planned for the law to not even begin until he would already have been reelected for his second and last time – or until he’s out of office if he should lose. Regardless, he planned it so he won’t have to face another election after the law takes effect.

Why President Obama has made passing this law his entire presidency’s first two years when he could have accomplished so many things with a control of Congress is baffling. That is to say that it’s baffling until one considers the socialistic act of having the government run the nation’s health care. The entire Affordable Care Act law supports the notion that President Obama wants the government to gradually take control of Americans’ lives like Americans have never wanted in the past or have ever seen before.

The current negatives of Obamacare, of course, are seen weekly in the national news as one business after another gets to the frustration level in which they emerge and tell its workers “we just can’t afford this”. The message to the employees is loud and clear. When Obamacare comes into being, regardless of how Obama and his liberal press make the business owners feel guilty, the financial facts for the business owners don’t change regardless of the amount of guilt thrust upon them. They simply cannot afford Obama’s Obamacare. Therefore, jobs will be lost – and, unfortunately, it may be “yours”.

If you’re still looking for a reason to decide on which candidate to vote for, think about Obamacare and the fact that one report after another clearly shows that it’s going to cost the nation much, much more than originally stated by President Obama and his administration. Additionally, whether Obama is right in saying that Obamacare isn’t a tax on the American people or Justice Roberts is right in saying it is a tax on the American people, the nation is in debt enough. Like many, many business owners, America simply cannot afford it. Let’s give Romney a chance to repeal the damn thing.
