Report: Plesac To Interview For Cubs' Broadcast Job

(WSCR) As WGN looks to fill the spot left by Bob Brenly after he bolted to Arizona to join the Diamondbacks' broadcast team last month, the network will reportedly interview former Cub Dan Plesac.

Plesac recently signed a multi-year extension with MLB Network, so his interview comes as a bit of a surprise.

The 50-year-old Plesac joined MLB Network in 2009. Before joining the network, he hosted Cubs pre- and post-game shows for Comcast SportsNet Chicago from 2005-2008.

Reports indicate Eric Karros is expected to interview. Rick Sutcliffe, Todd Hollandsworth and Doug Glanville have also been rumored to replace Brenly.
