(WSCR)  In the wake of former Bulls announcer Jim Durham’s passing over the weekend, The McNeil and Spiegel Show reached out to the current voice of the Bulls, Chuck Swirsky.

A close friend of Durham, Swirsky explained the impact the late broadcaster had on his life.

“He was the master,” Swirsky said. “He set the bar in this city. I can’t begin to tell you what a gentleman he was, but a spectacular broadcaster.

“You won’t meet a finer person. He went through a transformation in his life – there was a side of Jim that, in his words, he told me this on the air, off the air, that he needed to get his life together. He became a born-again Christian and was very transparent with his faith”
