Report: Bears Expected To Re-Sign Josh McCown

(WSCR) With Jay Cutler's status uncertain after sustaining a concussion in the Bears loss to the Texans on Sunday night, the team is expected to re-sign veteran quarterback Josh McCown.

Next to Cutler, Jason Campbell is the only other quarterback on the Bears roster. Rookie Matthew Blanchard is on the team's practice squad.

The 33-year-old McCown was signed by the Bears last season as a backup to Caleb Hanie after Cutler went down with a thumb injury.

McCown got his first and only start in the season finale against the Vikings, completing 15 of 25 passes for 160 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Bears 17-13 win.
