(CBS) Texans linebacker Tim Dobbins was fined $30,000 by the NFL for his hit on Jay Cutler that left the quarterback with a concussion, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Dobbins claimed he didn’t make head-to-head contact with Cutler and insisted the quarterback ran into him, despite clear video evidence to the contrary. Cutler was unable to play in the second half of Sunday’s game because he was showing signs of a concussion.

His status for Monday’s game in San Francisco is unclear. The Bears return to the practice field Thursday and the team will be required to release an injury report when that practice concludes.
