Cubs Sign Catcher Dioner Navarro

(WSCR) The Cubs have acquired free-agent catcher Dioner Navarro.

The 28-year-old Navarro appeared in 24 games last season with the Reds, batting .290 with two home runs and 12 RBIs.

He spent the 2006-2010 seasons with the Rays where he was an All-Star in 2008 when he hit .295 with seven homers and 54 RBIs.

Navarro also spent time with the Dodgers and Yankees.
