Woman Sues Hyundai Over Fuel Economy Estimates
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Chicago woman is suing Hyundai over inflated fuel economy claims.
Hyundai admits a flaw at its testing facility in Korea led to an exaggerated fuel economy rating on over 600,000 vehicles.
A Chicago owner of one of those vehicles says in a lawsuit that she thought she would be getting 20 miles per gallon on her Hyundai 2013 Santa Fe Sport, but only gets 16.
She claims that costs her about $700 a year.
Hyundai says its voluntary reimbursement program is the quickest remedy for car owners.
