Bears Place Louis On IR

(WSCR) The Bears have placed guard Lance Louis on injured, effectively ending his season.

Louis injured his knee in the Bears’ win over the Vikings on Sunday. The right guard was injured on a block from Vikings defensive end Jared Allen after an interception thrown by Jay Cutler.

The 27-year-old Louis has started all 11 games for the Bears this season at right guard and has 28 starts in 41 career games play.

The Bears drafted Louis in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of San Diego State.
