CHICAGO (STMW) – A 15-year-old boy was critically wounded in a shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Tuesday night on the South Side.

The teenager was shot multiple times about 8:05 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Damen Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien, citing preliminary information.

Paramedics took the boy to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
