(WSCR) As the Cubs continue their search for bullpen help, the club may be ready to add a new closer.

The L.A. Times reported the Cubs and the Angels appear to be finalists for coveted Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa.

The Diamondback are also reportedly a finalist.

The Angels, however, recently signed Ryan Madson, which could hurt their chances if Fujikawa is interested in closing.

In October, the Cubs attempted to move Carlos Marmol to the Angels, but Marmol vetoed the deal.
