CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police say two sisters - missing since yesterday afternoon - have been found.

An alert was put out for 14-year-old *Erica Davis* and her 7-year-old sister *Ariyell Bowman* when they disappeared after leaving Fairfield Elementary Academy about 2:45.

Police say they were found "safe and sound" at the home of "extended family." The girls apparently went to their uncle's house, instead of going to their grandmother's house.

Ariyell "Penny" Bowman, 7, and her sister Erica Davis, 14, were last seen leaving Fairfield Elementary Academy, 6201 S. Fairfield Ave., as students were dismissed at 2:45 p.m., police said.

Ariyell was wearing a turquoise and purple hat, purple coat, burgundy shirt and tan pants, police said. She was carrying a navy book bag.

Davis was wearing a green jacket, burgundy shirt and tan pants. She was carrying a pink book bag.
