(WSCR) NIU students concerned about the cost of a ticket to see their school play in the Orange Bowl can breathe a sigh of relief.
The University plans to offer one free ticket per student to the Jan. 1 Orange Bowl game against Florida State in Miami. Students must pick up the ticket in Miami.

After a 12-1 season, the Huskies are the first MAC team to play in a BCS bowl game. They’ll take on Florida State in their fifth straight bowl appearance.

“We want our students to be a part of it,” NIU’s sports information director Donna Turner told the Tribune. “We’d love to see a huge group of students get down to Miami.”
