Northern Illinois will face Florida State in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1.
Several ESPN analysts, including college football expert Kirk Herbstreit, have voiced their displeasure with the Huskies’ bowl bid.
“I love MAC football, but to put (NIU) in the BCS is an absolute joke to the rest of those teams that are more deserving,” Herbstreit said. “I can’t believe we’re even having this discussion.”
