HAMMOND, Ind. (CBS) — A real estate agent showing a property in Northwest Indiana was sexually assaulted by two prospective clients, police said Wednesday.
The woman scheduled a daytime showing of a property in the Robertsdale neighborhood in Hammond. She was met there by two Hispanic men, who both sexually assaulted her.
Police Lt. Richard Hoyda says someone called the woman’s office and gave phony information to lure her to a house showing.
“There was an appointment made, and she went to the location on Burton Court in the Robertsdale section of Hammond,” Hoyda said.
When she got there at 10 a.m. Friday, two men were waiting.
“Upon entering the house, the realtor-victim was sexually assaulted inside the home,” Hoyda said.
Police have released a sketch of one of the suspects, who was described in his late 40s, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds with a slightly greying mustache.
