(CBS) The Cubs selected reliever Hector Rondon from the Cleveland Indians in the first round of Thursday’s Rule 5 Draft.

Rondon, 24, is expected to be a part of the Cubs bullpen this season if he is healthy. The right-hander has had elbow surgery twice in the last two and a half years.

The Cubs also lost four players Thursday in the Rule 5 Draft. Pitcher Starling Peralta was selected by the Diamondbacks, outfielder Michael Burgess went to the Astros, infielder Matt Cerda went to the Cardinals and pitcher Alvido Jimenez was taken by the Blue Jays.
