(WSCR) Today in relentless beat downs, we meet Bloomington South and Arlington – two high school girls basketball teams in Indiana.
Bloomington South systematically dismantled Arlington, 107-2, during a regular season match up on Tuesday night.
Yes, you read that correctly. Arlington lost the game by 105 points.
After the game, first-year Arlington head coach Ebony Jackson was less-than-thrilled with Bloomington South running up the score.
“No it’s not OK but (Bloomington South coach Larry Winters) will have to live with that,” she told the Indy Star. “If that’s how they want to carry themselves, that’s fine. I’m focused on me and mine and we’ll just keep going.”
Winters said he did no such thing.
“I didn’t tell my girls to stop shooting because that would have been more embarrassing (to Arlington),” he said, noting Arlington was playing an aggressive 2-3 zone. “We were not trying to embarrass them or run up the score.”
