Marijuana on Train
Jimmie Medcalf and Charles Scott face arrested on drug possession charges.

CHICAGO (CBS) – A reminder: Medical marijuana is illegal in Illinois.

And that's what police say landed two Chicago men in the DuPage County jail.

Police say they caught Jimmie Medcalf and Charles Scott with a suitcase full of medical grade marijuana.

It was worth about $60,000.

Detectives got a tip about a shipment of drugs headed to Naperville on an Amtrak train.

Officers arrested the pair on Sunday night when they arrived at the Fourth Avenue station in Naperville.

They face felony charges of cannabis trafficking and the manufacture or delivery of more than 2,000 but not more than 5,000 grams of marijuana.
