Toeaina placed on IR; OT Brandon Elevated To Active Roster

LAKE FOREST (WSCR) -- Bears defensive tackle Matt Toeaina was placed on the reserve/injured list and offensive tackle Cory Brandon was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad.

Brandon has been on the Bears practice squad for the last nine weeks. The 6-7, 324-pound offensive lineman signed with Chicago this past June and was with the team during the 2012 preseason.

Brandon entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay out of Oklahoma in 2011.

This season, Toeaina has started two games for the Bears and appeared in three games.

Toeaina has played 36 games and started 24 in his six seasons as a member of the Bears, recording 66 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.
