Body Of Newborn Found In Mall Dumpster

CHICAGO (CBS) — The body of a newborn was found in a Dumpster over the weekend at a mall in the western suburbs.

Authorities found the infant dead on Saturday at Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard, according to mall security.

Police were not available for comment on Tuesday morning.

According to media reports, a teenager who worked at the mall gave birth to the child on Thursday and placed the baby in the Dumpster.

She went to the hospital on Saturday with complications from the delivery and told doctors what happened, according to those reports.
