2012 Marks Warmest Year Ever In Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The year 2012 will be remembered fondly in Chicago for one thing for sure: Warmer temperatures.

Warmest Year Ever In Chicago

Last January, there were people playing golf in Chicago.

Tuesday was the first time since late February of 2012 that the temperature didn't crack 32 degrees.

Since records have been kept, Chicago had its warmest average temperature ever in 2012 at 54.5 degrees.

Chicago could see another record this weekend. If there is little snowfall before Saturday, Chicago could break the record for most days (314) without an inch of snow.

There is a chance of some snow on Thursday morning.
