Armed Suspect Holds Up Burger King In Evanston
EVANSTON (CBS) -- A man armed with a gun held up a fast food restaurant in north suburban Evanston on Wednesday morning.
The suspect entered the Burger King restaurant, at the corner of Dempster and Dodge, and ordered the employees into a refrigerator or freezer around 6 a.m.
The suspect fled out the rear service with about $1,000 is cash and coins, according to Evanston police.
Detectives are reviewing video surveillance cameras from the restaurant.
The offender is described as a black male about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, wearing a black winter coat with fur around the hood.
