Illinois Dimisses Offensive Coordinator Beatty

(CBS) — Illinois football coach Tim Beckman announced today that co-offensive coordinator/quarterback coach Chris Beatty has been let go.

Illinois will immediately begin a national search for a replacement offensive coordinator.

“Chris Beatty is an outstanding person and a good coach,” Beckman said. “His family will always be a part our Illini football family. I wish him the best as he moves forward with his career.”

Illinois was last in the Big Ten in points and total offense, averaging 16.7 points and 296/7 yards last season.
