CHICAGO (CBS) – If you’d like to keep chickens in your backyard, you might want to have a chat with the “Chicken Consultant.”

Jennifer Murtoff has a unique business as a chicken consultant. She runs Home To Roost Urban Chicken Consulting.
When asked how much consulting she does in the city, Murtoff said,” Not as much as I would like. I think I have probably been out to see maybe 50 or 60 families.
Today, she was giving a class.
When asked if it is difficult to raise chickens in an urban area, Murtoff said, “Not particularly. It takes about as much as a dog. They are pretty easy once you get a handle on avian psychology and avian needs which are difference from cat and dog needs.”
