(WSCR) Though he won’t be on the bench for the Bulls’ game against the Knicks on Friday, Derrick Rose may soon join his team on the bench during games.

“He could,” Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told the Tribune. “He’s still locked into doing some rehab stuff, and that’s the primary focus. Whether he sits on the bench or not, he’s here with us.

Rose has started to travel, as he’s currently in New York with the team.

Thibodeau added: “When he starts fully practicing, then he’ll probably be more on the bench. But if he can get that extra work in (during games), I’d rather have him doing that.”
