CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot and killed early Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 12:50 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Harding Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The 22-year-old man was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle when a man got in and shot him in the back, Alfaro said.
Damian Barnes, of the 4200 block of West Van Buren Street, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 2:49 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
