Illini Take Plunge In Rankings

(CBS) In the wake of Illinois’ 23-point loss to unranked Wisconsin, the Fighting Illini took a major plunge in the rankings.

Ranked No. 12 before Saturday’s road loss to the Badgers, the Illini fell 11 spots to No. 23.

The Big Ten features three teams in the top 10. Indiana rose to No. 2, Michigan fell to No. 5 and Minnesota is ranked No. 9.

Louisville is now ranked No. 1 after previously unbeaten Duke, Michigan and Arizona all lost.
