Son Found Not Guilty, Insane For Killing Dad With Weed Trimmer

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man accused of beating his father to death with a weed trimmer has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

22-year-old Yashesh Desai will now undergo psychiatric treatment at a mental health facility.

47-year-old Sanjiv Desai was found dead at his Woodridge home in August 2011.

The younger Desai told police after his arrest that he thought his father was planning to attack him with a knife.
