(STMW) -- A teenage boy has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl at gunpoint Thursday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood.

The 15-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile with aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm and armed robbery with a firearm, according to police.

The boy is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a 16-year-old girl about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 6300 block of South Paulina Street.

The boy forced the girl into a gangway and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, police said. He then stole her cell phone, iPod and cash.

The girl was transported to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in "stable" condition, police said.
