NAPERVILLE (STMW) — Fire swept through a carwash next to a BP gas station in Naperville on Friday, causing about $300,000 in damage.
The Naperville Fire Department was called to the scene at 1983 Brookdale Road about 7:30 p.m. and reported smoke and flames coming fromm the structure.
It took 26 firefighters with 10 pieces of equipment about ten minutes to contain the blaze after it was determined no people were inside the car wash. One firefighter was reported injured.
The cause and origin of the blaze are under investigation.
