HUNTLEY (CBS) — One man is dead after a fire in a Huntley apartment building this morning.

The Huntley Fire Chief says a 47-year-old man died in that fire – and that the fire started in that man’s apartment on the ground floor of the apartment building.

It was a two-alarm fire that brought firefighters to the Woodcreek Apartments in Huntley about 6:15 in the morning.

About 40 Huntley firefighters were on the scene – and the extra alarm brought firefighters from 15 departments.

One firefighter was treated at a hospital and released.

The Huntley Fire Chief says the fire forced about a dozen people out of their apartments.

The cause is believed to be accidental.
