Masked Man Robs Mount Prospect Bank

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (STMW) — Police and federal agents are searching for a man who robbed a Bank of America branch in northwest suburban Mount Prospect on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery occurred about 2:40 p.m. at the branch in the 1000 block of South Elmhurst Road, according to a statement from the Mount Prospect police. No weapon was shown and no injuries were reported

The suspect presented a demand note and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, the statement said.

He was described as 6-feet to 6-feet-2, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey gloves and a white mask with black stripes that covered his entire face.
