fun. "Carry On" In Rain-Soaked Spectacle

fun. roared through an impassioned performance of hit single "Carry On" during the 55th Annual GRAMMY awards ceremony, highlighting the song's theme of perseverance by playing under a torrential downpour of rain.

The band was about halfway into the song when the simulated cloudburst erupted overhead, soaking everyone onstage as they played. The surprise rain storm seemed to energize lead singer Nate Ruess even more, as he belted out the song's lyrics.

Among the band's nominations this year are such high-profile categories as Best New Artist, Album of the Year for Some Nights and Song of the Year for "We Are Young," featuring R&B singer Janelle Monae, which they won. fun.'s full-length lost out to Kelly Clarkson's Stronger in the Best Pop Vocal Album category.

“If this is in HD, everyone can see our faces, and we are not very young,” Ruess said while accepting the trophy for Song of the Year, which they took over Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson, Miguel and Carly Rae Jepsen. “We’ve been doing this for 12 years.”
