CHICAGO (CBS) —President Obama will be back in town Friday to talk about the ongoing gun violence in the city.
Officials say he is adding the trip to his post-State of the Union swing around the nation.
The president’s Tuesday State of the Union address is expected to dwell on the economy with a chunk of that speech devoted to his push for legislation to curb gun violence, proposed in the wake of the Sandy Hook school massacre.
A White House official says Mr. Obama will travel to Chicago for an event to talk about policy. It will also address gun violence.
