CICERO, Ill. (STMW) – A suspect is in custody for the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in west suburban Cicero on Wednesday night.
Norberto Lara Jr., 17, was shot in the 1300 block of South 59th Avenue in Cicero, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Lara, of the 1500 block of South 55th in Cicero, was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:46 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
Cicero police say the shooting was believed to be a domestic incident and that an adult suspect is in custody Thursday morning, according to a spokesman.
The investigation is ongoing and police are not immediately releasing additional details, the spokesman said.
