(STMW) — A woman was fatally shot Friday night in Humboldt Park.
The woman was shot in the shoulder about 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Pulaski Road, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
The woman, thought to be in her 20s, was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she later died, authorities said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office was notified of the death but was not releasing the woman’s identity pending notification of her relatives.
CTA Nos. 53 and 70 buses were rerouted near North Pulaski Road and West Thomas Street, according to a CTA alert.
Area North detectives are investigating.
