CHICAGO (CBS) -- CBS 2 has obtained former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell's first mug shot since her sentencing last Thursday.

Crundwell is currently being held at the Boone County Correctional Facility in Belvidere.

Crundwell was transferred to Boone County almost immediately and will be housed there until the Federal Bureau of Prisons determines where she will ultimately serve her sentence. Federal officials say that process could take weeks or months.

Rita Crundwell was arrested on April 17, 2012 after a city of Dixon employee discovered a secret bank account that Crundwell used to funnel money to pay for personal expenses.

She also financed her lavish quarter horse business and spent taxpayer money on high end clothing, jewelry, cars, homes and much more.

Crundwell pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud in November 2012 and admitted to stealing more than $53 million from the city of Dixon over a 22-year period. She was sentenced to almost 20 years in prison on Feb. 14.

The United States Marshals and the FBI have liquidated most of Crundwell's assets. To date, more than 12 million dollars has been recouped.
