Reporting Craig Miller

By Craig Miller-

(CBS) Boxing Hall of Famer and lead analyst for Showtime Boxing, Al Bernstein, joins me to talk about his new book “30 Years, 30 Undeniable Truths about Boxing, Sports, and TV.”

Al talks about the announcement made that Floyd Mayweather will fight Robert Guerrero on May 4 and more importantly Mayweather’s new deal with Showtime. Mayweather has been with HBO for almost his entire career and has signed on with Showtime for a six-fight deal beginning May 4.

Bernstein will be in Detroit for Showtime’s broadcast for the fight between Cornelius Bundrage vs. Ishe Smith on Saturday, Feb. 23. Hear him break down the fight and provide insight to these fighter’s backgrounds.

Al also explains to me the problems with boxing in Chicago and what needs to be done to resurrect the sport. He also shares with me the relationship he had with famous trainer Emanuel Stewart and hopes to see the Kronk Gym in Detroit thrive again.
