Teen Shot In Greater Grand Crossing Neighborhood

CHICAGO (STMW) — A 17-year-old boy was shot in the hip early Sunday in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
The boy was walking on the sidewalk when a group of males approached and shot him about 12:30 a.m. near 69th and State streets, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was shot in the right hip, and is in “stable” condition at Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Centers as of early Sunday, Alfaro said.
Area Central detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody
