MONTGOMERY, Ill. (CBS) — A west suburban Montgomery man was charged Friday with assaulting and kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Brett A. Emery, 18, is alleged to have beat his ex-girlfriend, a juvenile, and forced her to go with him to his home, where she was beaten again. She was able to leave when a witness intervened.

Emery has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated battery, domestic battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

Emery is being held at Kendall County Jail on $250,000 bond.
