Two Stabbed On West Side

CHICAGO (STMW) — Two men are in critical condition after being stabbed early Sunday on the West Side.
The men were walking in the 1500 block of West Western Avenue at 5:07 a.m. when a group of people approached them and a physical altercation ensued, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
After the group fled, the men, ages 26 and 27, noticed stab wounds and lacerations to their abdomens, Mirabelli said.
Both men were taking in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Police are searching for one person who had a weapon, Mirabelli said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
