Video: Marc Staal Takes Puck To The Face

(CBS) Playing hockey without a visor has its consequences.

This is one of them.

During last night’s Rangers-Flyers game, New York defenseman Marc Staal took a puck to the face, causing the 26-year-old to instantly drop to the ice and violently squirm in pain.

Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen fired a slap shot from the point, but the puck deflected off Jakub Voracek’s skate right into Staal’s face.
