Police: Man Shot And Killed In Humboldt Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a gang-related shooting in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood Wednesday night, police said.
The man, 24, was in the 1300 block of North Saint Louis Avenue when he was shot in the head about 8:40 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
He was with a group of other men, when a male shooter came out of an alley and started firing at them, Alfaro said.
He was taken to Norwegian-American Hospital where he later died, Alfaro said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has not yet been notified of the fatality, a spokesperson said.
Area North detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody late Wednesday.
