CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was fatally shot in the head Friday afternoon on the South Side.
The 24-year-old was shot about 3:45 p.m. in the 1900 block of East 79th Street, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
Two men got out of a vehicle and one shot the man in the head before they fled the scene, police said.
Ramond Tucker, of the 7900 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, was taken to to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:34 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Area South detectives are investigating.
