CHICAGO (STMW) — An intoxicated man died after falling down the stairs at a North Side CTA station early Tuesday.

Keith Anderson, thought to be in his 40s, fell down the stairs at the Howard Street train station about 2:15 a.m., authorities said.

Anderson was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died at 3:10 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

An autopsy Tuesday found Anderson was intoxicated and died of head injuries he suffered in the fall, according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled an accident.

Area North detectives are investigating.
