Two Killed In Fiery Rollover Crash In Westmont

Updated 03/21/13 – 11:04 a.m.

WESTMONT, Ill. (CBS) — Two people was killed early Thursday, when an SUV crashed, flipped over, and caught fire in west suburban Westmont.

Police said, around 3:20 a.m., they received a call of a rollover accident in the 500 block of West 59th Street.

When police and fire crews arrived, they found an SUV on its roof on the grass outside a home on that block. The vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters put out the fire, but two people inside were dead. The DuPage County Coroner’s office said the victims’ names were being withheld until their families were notified.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
