1 Killed, 1 Injured Friday In Logan Square Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An alleged gang member was shot and killed and another man was injured Friday evening during a gang-related shooting in the Logan Square neighborhood.
Eugenio Solano, 23, of the 1700 block of North Francisco Avenue, was shot and killed less than a block from home, authorities said.
Police said Solano was with a 44-year-old man in the 1800 block of North Francisco Avenue when three men approached asking for directions.
One of the men then pulled out a gun and opened fire, police said.
Solano was shot in the chest and died a short while later, police said.
The 44-year-old man was shot in the hand as he ran from the men, police said. He was treated and released from Mount Sinai Hospital.
No one was in custody early Saturday as Area North detectives investigated.
