Man Dressed In White, Cowboy Hat Breaks Into Woman’s Bedroom

CHICAGO (CBS) — Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart is reminding people to keep their windows and doors locked after a Des Plaines woman caught an intruder in her bedroom who apparently came in through the window.

'Cowboy' Intruder

WBBM’s Steve Miller reports the suspect was dressed in white: White shoes, white jacket and a white cowboy hat.

And he got into the bedroom of a Des Plaines woman over the weekend.

The sheriff’s office says the woman woke up and screamed.

The scream woke her roommate up, and she called 911.

Sheriff Dart says the man in white left through the front door.

Dart’s advice: lock windows.

And if you don’t have an alarm system, get an air horn to frighten off intruders.
