Two Wounded In Austin Shootings
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were injured in shootings in the West Side Austin neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
A 22-year-old man was shot three times on the 4800 block of West Thomas Street at about 5:45 p.m., police said. He was shot in the back, upper thigh and groin, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, police said.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the left leg just after 4 p.m. on the 1000 block of North Waller Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, authorities said.
The man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in "stable" but serious condition, according to fire media affairs.
No one is in custody and Area North detectives are investigating.
