(CBS) — Caribou Coffee is packing its beans and leaving Chicago.

The Minneapolis-based chain says it’s closing most of its 18 Chicago area stores effective Sunday for business reasons.

A few locations will be converted to Peet’s Coffee and Tea shops.

The closings will affect about 1,000 workers.
